Douglas Martin enabled us to get a real estate loan during the covid pandemic period, when it was otherwise extremely difficult to get a bank to examine one's application.
Douglas was a constant, reassuring presence, guiding us through the intricacies of the process, as it was our first time obtaining a loan of this sort in France.
Not only did he find, through his personal contacts, a bank that was responsive, but he also negotiated an interest rate from them that was considerably lower than the one that our own bank was offering. This alone justified Carte Financement's commission many times over.
We highly recommend Douglas Martin and would happily work with him again ourselves.

I highly recommend Douglas Martin for anyone wanting to acquire a loan to purchase property in France. He made impossible possible! Despite the fact that my husband and I both speak French, not living in France makes understanding everything, navigating the process difficult. From the beginning, Douglas has been extremely helpful, very responsive, responsible and knowledgeable. We dealt with many professionals in France, and he was the only one that exceeded our expectation and delivered everything promised. He was thorough, detail oriented and explained everything so well. He was fluent in English and French, so communication was easy. He worked through the summer time for us, which may sound nothing unusual, but actually a HUGE deal in France as everyone is on vacation in the summer in France! Working with other professionals in France at the same time, we have to say he was such an outstanding broker.

My wife and I are very private and have never left a public review for any service before. However, after working with Douglas over the past few months, we felt compelled to say something to express our gratitude.
